My First Blog...

Why do I hear William Shatner's voice and the the theme music from Star Trek in my head?
It's not a bad thing , just my beginning steps into the world of blogging!

The reason I decided to venture into this new avenue is to spread some positive energy and thoughts. So many things focus on our fears, negative energies and the not so goods of this world. Positive doesn't sell as well as negatives do.

 But I believe that there are more good stories, good people than we ever hear of. People being kind, performing a good deed, whether great or small because its the right thing to do.
No leaping of tall buildings, catching a football for the game winning touchdown...just deeds done that make hearts , including our own feel good.

I have a wonderful and dear friend, Kate Large who has her own website called Soul Kisses.com . She has made such a difference in my life, helping me see the positives. not living in fear and grief. Last week when I was trying to thank her for that she said that all she did was " hold the space", until I was ready to move into my own power and light.
A light went on...there was the name of my blog. Up to that point I had come up with a loose translation of Latin for " Always wear clean underwear". It certainly fit my sense of humor which has been described as sick and twisted, but "Holding the Space" is much nicer! Thank you Kate for coming up with the inspiration and the name!

So as I venture forth in this bold new world...to go where....hey, its William Shatner again..I welcome your comments, suggestions of topics and a sharing of stories that show the good of this group of travelers...man, woman and child. It's my hope we can all "hold the space" for another person until they are ready to step into their light and power.
